Cristo Rey Network Leaders Speak at Two Prominent Universities this Week

January 27, 2010 – Cristo Rey Network Executive Chair John P. Foley, S.J. and Chief Academic Officer Elizabeth Goettl were invited to speak this week at two prominent universities, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Yesterday, Fr. Foley was part of a discussion addressing Education in the Americas with the education department at the University of Pennsylvania. Representatives from Venezuela, Costa Rica, Chili, Nicaragua, and the United States, just to name a few, convened to share ideas about what can be done to assist and advance education in the Americas.

Ms. Goettl will be a panelist Friday at Exploring Entrepreneurship: Innovations in the Midwest Education Industry, presented by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship at Chicago Booth. This conference will bring the business community together with academia to discuss the trends and innovations taking place across this sector for new business growth. Industry experts, entrepreneurs, educators, and students will take part in the initiative to expand the leadership and effectiveness of dynamic education industry.
